Closer Than You Think

Even in silence, He hasn’t stopped moving.

There are days when I can feel God moving, opening doors, answering prayers, shifting things around. And then there are days when… it’s quiet.

Too quiet.

Those are the days I have to remind myself: Just because I can’t see what He’s doing doesn’t mean He stopped doing it.

God doesn’t owe me constant updates. He’s not trying to leave me in the dark, but He is growing my faith. And sometimes, that growth happens when I can’t see the path, only the next step.

I’ve had moments where I looked back and thought, whew, God… thank You for not letting that thing go through. What felt like rejection was protection. What looked like a closed door was Him guiding me somewhere better. I didn’t see it then, but I definitely see it now.

The truth is: God has always been near. He didn’t stop being my Way Maker just because I lost sight of the way.

He covers me in ways I’ll never fully know. Shields me from things I didn’t even know I needed protection from. And still—somehow—He draws me closer, not by forcing me, but by loving me gently back to His heart.

Prayer

Father, Thank You for being the God who moves even when I can’t see it. Thank You for protecting me in ways I’ll never fully understand. Today, help me trust you, more than I trust my feelings. Show me where You’re near. Pull me in closer. And remind me that even if I don’t see the way forward, I can still trust that You’re making one. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌱 Pause & Unfold:

  • Can you think of a moment where things didn’t go your way—but looking back, you see God was protecting you?
  • What area of your life feels the most unclear or stuck right now?
  • What would it look like to trust God with the unseen part of your journey today?
Rooted in purpose and unfolding in grace, 💛
